Global Hearts: The Contributions of Bay Area Professionals to Health
The Institute for OneWorld Health, the first nonprofit pharmaceutical company in the United States, brings together a distinguished group of the world's experts in global health for an all-day seminar at the Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in San Francisco. The seminar highlights the intersection of science and global health and its positive impact on improving the health and well-being of people in the developing world.
"Once viewed as too costly, science and technology are playing a key role in addressing vexing global health problems," said Victoria Hale, PhD, Founder and CEO of the Institute for OneWorld Health, "and often social entrepreneurs are leading the way."
