Rachel Kleinfeld

Executive Director, The Truman Project Rachel Kleinfeld is the founder of the Truman Project. Rachel previously served as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she worked on information-sharing across the military, intelligence, and law enforcement communities, homeland security, and trade and security issues. She has also been a consultant to the Center for Security and International Studies on biosecurity and bioterrorism response issues. Rachel is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Blue Fund, a progressive mutual fund. Rachel maintains a strong interest in efforts to strengthen weak states through the rule of law, human rights, security, and development. She has consulted for numerous private, public, nonprofit, and international organizations regarding building strong police, judicial, and legal structures in weak states. She has also worked in India, Israel, and Eastern Europe for human rights, economic development, and rule of law building nonprofit organizations. Rachel's commentary has appeared in radio, television, and in multiple books, journals, and newspapers, including The Washington Post, the LA Times, and the Wall Street Journal. A Rhodes Scholar and a Truman Scholar, Rachel received her B.A. from Yale University and her M. Phil in International Relations from St. Antony's College, Oxford.
