Bio
Taner Akcam
Taner Akcam is a Turkish historian, sociologist and publicist. He is one of the first Turkish academics to acknowledge and discuss openly the Armenian Genocide by the Ottoman Turkish government in 1915.
My Turkish brothers unfortunately have no recollection or memory of Turkey prior to 1924. They simply do not recognize the Ottoman Turkish Empire, but only the Republic of Turkey. Anything prior to that is not up to debate because it is wiped out.
While Akcam is correct that moslems were killed by christians- most were from self-defense, I will never understand why a moslem believes that a Christian doesn't have the right to defend themselves., the atrocities of the Ottomans is without a doubt the worst in history. The Ottomans crimes were never from self-defense it was battles from invasions to bulgaria to greece
60% of Europe and 60% of the middle east.
you generally do not see Christians killing Mullahs or burning down mosques. Favorite pastimes of fantatic Moslems is killing Christian priests and destroying or converting Churches as we did with St. Hagia Sophia Church in Istanbul (now converted to a museum) killing 2 catholic priests in Turkey in the last 4 years, and many christian missionaries working in Turkey.
Not to mention Pope John Paul II was shot by a Grey Wolve Turk.
Watch the exceptionless documentation called AGHET about the Armenian genocide in 1915 which Turkey denies down to the present day. The documentation is based on reports of, amongst others, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, the American National Archives, the Library of Congress and archives in France, Denmark, Sweden, Armenia, Russia and Turkey. These documents, hidden for a long time in order not to harm Turkey, leave absolutely no room for doubt about the reality of the Armenian genocide. The made by Eric Friedler and was shown twice on two notable German TV stations in April this year and will be shown again in September. This is a very great sign as it's a German production although it depicts the complicity of Germany (= Turkey's Ally) in the Armenian Genocide.
