I used to pick up garbage. I thought it mattered. But then I lost any kind of hope that we aren't killing the planet. No one else seemed to give

Catherine,
I too was surprised to learn about Iran's largley Pro-American population. I truly appreciate someone like Reza clarifying this seemingly basic information that is amazingly clouded by most mainstream media outlets.

I'm wondering about the statements he made about Iran being one of the most "Pro-America" populations in the world. I's like to read his books and find out if he elaborates on this idea. The reason for this is that obviously many of the people in America, including those who I encounter every day, believe Iran is a completely terrorist-ridden country that completely detests our country. I mean, there's got to be some sort of problem in the mainstream media (probably obvious to most of you), because I think perhaps if more people realized that the economic sanctions we impose are providing a totaly detrimental effect to the "democracy" we're trying to instill, there might be a surge of popular support for removing the sanctions and negotiation. It seems that we're all in relatively the same boat, as Aslan says, because we're all concerned with our pocketbooks first and foremost.

A very thoughtful, credible exploration of different approach to the Iranian "problem." I like that he didn't take a knee-jerk reaction to current American policy, but gave realistic insight.
