It's really funny to hear that the character of Gareth was based on boys that Gervais knew when he was ten. It snaps so much into clarity. I heart The Office and I can't wait to see The Extras, OR the episode of The Simpsons that Gervais wrote (!!). I hadn't heard about that before. Exciting.

He's a genius, and a sweet guy. And funny. Great to see a polished comedian in a long form informal environment.

just the opposite, I liked extras, but couldn't get into the office.
