I don't ever remember Richard Clarke believing of a tie between Al-Qaeda and Saddam.
Admittedly I haven't read all of his books yet, but he always impressed me with his take on events.
I find it quite interesting to view this speaking engagement five years later.

It is interesting that Clarke has changed his view over time concerning whether Iraq ever held ties to Al-Qaeda. It makes his credibility questionable. Was he a pawn of the Bush Administration or has he honestly changed his views after further contemplation and investigation in his work.?It is not surprising that his credibility is publicly questioned, a common tool of the Bush Administration against anyone who so much as questions their power or authority.

I don't know about the pink tie, though.

He's a down-to-earth straight talker who isn't timid about challenging the administration's policies where they have failed and giving proactive advice on improvements. We can always use more of that.

I like this guy. His sarcasm really brings life to his speeches.
